The Future

Hey FCA Families

As many of you know, FCA Sports has grown into a year-round ministry—46 weeks of year around programming, and opportunities to invest in kids and families across the Tri-Cities. What began with just a few teams has now become a movement, and I can honestly say: God is doing something special through this community.

With that growth comes a new need and a new hope of mine.

I’m forming an FCA Sports Committee—a circle of trusted, passionate people who believe in this mission and want to help strengthen, shape, and support the future of FCA Sports.

This isn’t a board, and it’s not a heavy time commitment. It’s simply a group of people who will help me think, plan, dream, and build with wisdom and support.

One thought from Gary G. Hoag’s book The Council has been stirring in me as FCA grows. Hoag writes about how healthy ministry leaders “walk with a wise circle to steward God’s work faithfully.” He argues that ministry is never meant to be carried alone—rather, God uses a council of people to help leaders stay grounded, guided, and encouraged so the mission can flourish.

That’s exactly what I’m hoping to build.

Strengthening the Sports We Currently Run

Soccer, cheer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, and our emPOWERed Kids Camps continue to grow. I’d love voices and insight for:

  • Improving the leagues we run
  • Enhancing the experience for our athletes, coaches, and families
  • Keeping our mission front and center: More than a league. It’s a mission.

Dreaming About What’s Next

What new sports or opportunities could we launch in the future?
Your ideas matter.

Expanding Church Partnerships

We are currently blessed with space in all three cities:

  • Richland: Bethel + Central Church
  • Pasco: Grace Point
  • Kennewick: Calvary Chapel

As we expand, so does our need for continued and new partnerships.

Stewardship & Support

This committee would also help me think through:

  • Building healthy budgets for each sport
  • Securing corporate sponsors to help offset gear, equipment, and facility costs
  • Marketing ideas (social media, church promotion, community outreach)
  • Other practical and meaningful support that strengthens the ministry

If FCA Sports has impacted your family… if you value what God is doing through this ministry… if you want to help shape the future of FCA in the Tri-Cities… I’d love to invite you to be part of this FCA Sports Committee.

Thank you for trusting us with your kids. Thank you for believing in this mission. And thank you for helping us build something that lasts.

More than a league. It’s a mission.

Win The Day,
